Consultant Strategic Projects

The organisation

Our client is a pharmaceutical leader and producer of medicines and active in over 80 countries.

The position

They are looking to recruit a Consultant focused on Strategic Projects & Alliances operating from their European HQ in Amsterdam. You will be focused on the delivery of key initiatives and projects driving organic growth and/or cross function efficiencies. Together with European Heads, Country General Managers and CFO’s you will be enabling strategy through measurable value creation in Europe. You will be a key and true commercial partner to business functions such as Supply Chain, Global Operations, Portfolio, Finance & Marketing etc. 

Tasks & responsibilities

• Identifies key tactical actions plans from long range and annual operating plans and coordinate their implementation through consolidated road maps, effective governance structure and reporting; 
• Drive identification & governance of regional cost efficiency initiatives; 
• Evaluates, recommends and support implementation of organic growth initiatives driving mid to long term revenue growth; 
• Serves as commercial partner for cross functional projects with global functions.

Candidate profile

• You have a Master’s degree in Life sciences/Pharmaceutical sciences or MBA preferred; 
• Previous commercial experience of a minimum of 3 years in pharmaceutical leadership roles or 3-5 years (Consultant Level) of experience in top tier management consulting or consulting firms focused on Life Sciences / Pharmaceutical Industry; 
• Excellent senior stakeholder (C-Level) management skills and strong business acumen and value focused; Experience in developing and presenting appropriate strategies and solutions; 
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to handle complex analyses; 
• Team player, i.e. experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative and multicultural environment; 
• Fluency in English. Any other fluency in European languages will be a plus; 
• International travel approximately 40%.
