The position

Aalberts engineers mission-critical technologies for ground-breaking industries and everyday life. The listed company has over 130 production locations, with activities in more than fifty countries. As a proactive business partner, the Business Development and M&A Manager collaborates with business teams to drive their strategic agenda and support the company’s M&A plans.

The Business Development and M&A Manager will join the Business Development & M&A team based at the headquarters in Utrecht. The role entails a broad spectrum of responsibilities and tasks, including identifying potential investment opportunities, coordinating due diligence, executing M&A processes, and coordinating the different stakeholders both within and outside Aalberts.

The Business Development and M&A Manager plays a crucial role in spearheading the annual strategic review process, providing support to the business teams during their preparation, and ensuring diligent deployment of strategic initiatives. Their objective is to unlock new growth opportunities through ongoing development of initiatives. Moreover, the Business Development and M&A Manager keeps a close eye on market trends and industry developments, while also closely monitoring competitors.

The wide-ranging responsibilities inherent in this position offer both intrigue and complexity, making it an interesting challenge. The Business Development and M&A Manager is a strategically strong participant at every discussion table. They pose the right questions, listen well and, when necessary, dare to challenge ideas. Excellent communication skills, the ability to build solid relationships and a strong sense of empathy are prerequisites to be successful in this role.
