CFO (Buy & Build)

The organization

This ambitious organization is a leading player in the software market, offering both services and solutions. Activities have grown rapidly in recent years and the company works with a wide range of large enterprise customers across multiple industries, taking advantage of the opportunities offered by digitization, cloud computing, and enterprise applications. A high growth business that is set to expand substantially over the coming years both in its core geographies and beyond.

The position

Due to the anticipated growth - a combination of organic growth and add-on acquisitions - the organization is recruiting a first-in-class CFO. The CFO will be responsible for scaling the finance function, including implementing processes and procedures. This CFO will be the organizations second in command; a significant strategic key position as a sparring partner and challenger for the CEO.

Tasks & responsibilities

The aim is to achieve a further standardization and professionalization of the (finance) organisation and finance function in the coming years. In this process management information is a crucial theme, given the complex projects and the growth ambition of the organization, requiring better financial insights, a sound project dashboard, etc. Other main objectives: a fact- and figure-based documentation of decision-making processes, performance improvement, creating a strategically based reporting platform for the main shareholders/investors (meaning regular personal contact on the highest level with all stakeholders), clear financial processes, building a high performing finance team and developing from a reactive to a pro-active finance department.

Candidate profile

• University degree, complemented with a RC/RA degree
• 15+ years of relevant financial management experience in a B2B service organization, with an international scope
• Experience in the software industry
• Several years of experience in one of the Big 4 consulting firms is well appreciated
• Experience in (and therefore strong understanding of) value creation in high growth, fast-paced business
• M&A experience is required, experience in working with Private Equity is a plus
• Fluent command of both the Dutch and English language
