The organisation

The organisation is a wholesaler in spare parts and market leader in Europe with a turnover of almost 1 billion. With significant investments in digitalization, the organization has become the frontrunner in the marketplace.

The position

Now the ambition is to improve the scalability of the organization even further. To facilitate and speed up this process we are recruiting for the new Director Business Performance (DBP).

Tasks & responsibilities

The DBP is part of the Finance Transformation Team and responsible for enabling the organization to create insights that facilitate the organization to become more scalable from a business perspective. The currently defined priorities are:

• Activity-Based Costing: Increase understanding of cost-to-serve and setting the bases for profitability analytics by determining cost drivers and managing transformation in the business.
• Harmonizing Finance Applications Landscape: Fully operational Oracle cloud applications finance and EPM, Utilize Q release to further digitalize and improve F&C Process including forecasting integrated with the outcome of Activity-Based Costing.

At the start, it is important that the DBP understands the business processes and the cost drivers in detail. The DBP ensures that the transactional processes generate all relevant data for profitability and cost analysis for the different products and market segments. Together with management, the DBP determines the KPI’s on which the business is actually managed to improve profit and efficiency. The DBP will overview the process of Building functional and organizational-level-specific dashboard. After a year in this position, the DBP has created a situation in which cost drivers are more clear and integrated into the new EPM tooling. The EPM tooling produces figures that are transparent, traceable and recognized by management.

Candidate profile

You have a Master’s degree in accounting or business economics preferably including a RA, RC, or MBA degree. You are a business-minded financial with more than 15 years of working experience. Maybe you started in (strategy) consulting and have experience in Business Performance Optimalisation.

You have excellent analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail. You have the flexibility to perform in an international and hands-on environment. You have a proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and continuously improve processes. You have an energetic and enthusiastic personality. Fluency in English is required preferably with two other European languages.
