The position 

Sofis is looking to appoint a new Director Finance & IT who will be responsible for helping shape the future strategy and profitability of the business.  Your challenge will be to guide the business with financial insight, simplify and improve the financial structure of the business and be the business partner to the rest of the Sofis Board.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop the Finance and IT team (7 people)
• Lead the production of timely, informative and accurate Management accounts and financial data that guide the decisions and direction of the business
• Work with the MD and Board to set the strategy and direction for the business
• Advise/ partner with the MD and Board on delivering against the strategic plan 
• Ensure IT is a strategy enabler for the business
• Ensure compliance with Halma policy, government statutes and ethical practices, through the application of appropriate internal controls
• Lead the annual budget process
• Identify, drive and lead business improvement/ simplification projects
• Understand, interpret and communicate the implications of financial and operational data
• Manage the company’s working capital and cash flow
• Support the internal Halma HY and YE financial reviews
