Finance Director

The organisation

Our client is a leading organisation in the Medical Devices industry with a strong global presence and is now looking for a Head of Finance. Headquartered in Europe, the company has a widespread network of distribution subsidiaries and partners, offering top-quality products, solutions, and services. The position

As the Head of Finance for the Benelux region, you will play a key role in leading and managing the financial operations of the organisation. You will report directly to the Country Director and work closely with the regional leadership to ensure effective financial management across the region. The role will have a strong change management component, as the organisation needs to further professionalise their overall operations. You will develop and execute financial strategies to drive growth and financial stability. Also, you oversee financial accounting, planning, controlling, and reporting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Next to that, you collaborate with the management team to define and execute the region's financial goals and objectives. Thereby, you lead the annual budgeting and planning process, monitoring progress and deviations and manage cash flow, assets, and trade receivables to optimise financial performance. Furthermore, you implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial assets and prevent fraud. You ensure compliance with local and international accounting and tax regulations. Also, you foster a culture of financial discipline, data-driven decision-making, and continuous improvement. Lastly, you analyse financial data and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.

Candidate profile

To succeed in this role, we're looking for someone with the following:

• Minimum 7 years of experience in a senior-level finance position.
• Proven track record in financial management, preferably within the dental or medical device industry.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, international reporting standards (IFRS), and local tax laws.
• Hands-on experience with SAP or other financial reporting systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; additional finance-related certifications (e.g., CPA, CFA) are a plus.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate effectively in a matrix organisation.
