The position

As an experienced Finance Manager, you professionalize Vintura’s increasingly complex financial structure. Due to this increasing complexity the pressure is building on the reporting department and internal processes. The primary goal of the Finance Manager is to oversee, control, and structure this financial complexity. This position involves company-wide financial activities and includes decision-making on M&As, the finance agenda, informational flows towards management, and post-integration. You plan department-wide improvements and realize these improvements by translating them into processes. 

By successfully navigating Vintura’s financial complexity, you offer a relevant perspective on business processes, effectively managing planning and control cycles and ensuring that all departments receive the required business support. The long-term result of your work is an organization with efficient finance operations, allowing your colleagues to focus on further developing the organization and providing value-adding services for clients. The dynamic nature of this position requires an entrepreneurial and assertive person with an eye for internal operational opportunities and the drive to continuously improve and optimize the Finance department. 

In this position, you report directly to the board. You will receive support from local bookkeepers and accountants per operating location and you will have two office assistants directly reporting to you. You also influence the integration of several systems and processes, At the end of 2023, all operating systems will be integrated into one program, Exact Globe or Synergy.

Tasks & responsibilities

As Finance Manager, you are responsible for the following activities:

Business controlling and reporting

• Manage and plan Vintura Group Business planning cycle (targets/budgets)
• Manage and plan business controlling cycle (internal and external reporting, business reviews)
• Manage and control total finance function (hour registration/invoicing/debtors/payments/cash management/etc.)

Systems and processes

• Defining and implementing operational processes and policies (project management/invoicing/expense management)
• Maintaining and developing relevant operational systems (Exact/Synergy/CRM/O365/Sharepoint)
• Building and streamlining activities within the IT department, e.g., by integrating teams and internal communication
• Solving finance-related questions on an ad hoc base

Candidate profile

You will excel in this position if you are naturally versatile, have plenty of operational finance and transformation experience, and possess an open and progressive attitude.

The ideal candidate fits the following profile:

• Experience at a consulting firm focused on financial transformation
• Can implement a new governance strategy around the operational integration of several countries and future M&A activities
• Coaching, managing, stakeholder management and communicative skills
• Strong affinity with systems and optimize the use of features, related to efficiency and business insights
• Able to balance financial processes and requirements, and the flexibility a consulting firm needs
• Working experience in an international environment and the capacity to translate the wishes of stakeholders into tangible improvements
• Strategic insight, discipline in process management, and a pragmatic mindset
• Fluency in English. Dutch, German and/or French is a plus
• Ability to develop a dynamic organization, retain employees and accommodate growth perspectives
• Interested in occasional business travel in Europe
