The position

The Finance Manager Benelux is responsible for all finance related topics including accounting, reporting, controlling, tax, legal and credit control of the subsidiary. He / She leads the local Finance Team Has a seat within the Management Team. And acts as the Finance Business Partner of the Country Director, aiming to drive performance and support the business.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Accounting & Reporting
  • Ensures compliancy of group accounting and reporting principles and local GAAP.
  • Ensures the timely production of accurate management and statutory reporting.
  • Ensures proper analysis and justification of P&L, balance sheet and cash flow.
  • Ensures production of weekly cash forecast and management of funding.
  • Produces monthly reports and KPI’s to drive team and process efficiencies.
  • Ensures preparation, audit and filing of statutory accounts as per local and group deadlines.
• Business Partnering
  • Provides local and group management with business partnering support, training, reports, analysis, on finance, business and management accounts matters on continuous and ad hoc basis.
  • Lead in relationship with the business the annual budget process, monthly forecast, weekly “flash” reports for revenue and costs
• Tax & Legal
  • Manages tax issues, ensures the timely production of tax returns and payments of taxes, prepares tax reporting, answers tax questions from the group.
  • Works closely with group legal manager for proper controls over legal risks.
• Credit Control
  • Applies the credit control policy to optimise cash collection and reduce credit risks.
  • Defines with local management the optimum credit policies.
  • Monitors the credit risks: risk assessment, mitigation and follow up particularly on new customers, and decides on risk tolerance.

Candidate profile

• A Bachelor/ Master’s degree in finance (Business Economics, Accounting or similar).
• Experience in working with multinational company (international)
• A solid base of technical finance and accounting skills combined with finance business partnering experience.
• Experience of working with ERP and business information tools.
• Professional command of the Dutch and English language.
