The company

Grolsch is one of the world’s largest brewers. Robert Half is recruiting a Finance Planning & Analysis Manager for Grolsch, where people take real pride in their product and brand.

The function

We are looking for a bright individual who is able to make an impact on the business. The individual requires the attitude to drive strategic planning across functions as well as the ability to work in the detail of financial analysis and reporting. A strong analytical approach and a desire to learn more about the business is necessary.
Given the entrepreneurial nature of our client roles are subject to continual change and cover a broad scope of levels of tasks. The output and accountabilities include but are not limited to:

Strategic planning process

• Facilitation of the financial five year plan process across functions
• Financial modelling of the plan, key assumptions identified and challenged
• Key strategic themes identified and options supported by financial analysis

Budgeting and Forecasting 

• Development of top down budgets and performance targets
• Develop, manage and improve the bottom up planning process across business teams
• Challenge the business teams on budget submissions and identification of key issues
• Performance Management and Reporting to the management team and Europe
• Monthly business performance reviews delivered with continuous improvement
• Key business performance issues identified with recommendations and actions
• Finance Development
• Provide continuous improvement to the decision support capability e.g. variance analysis methodology implemented, liaising with group and other markets for best practice.
• Representation on various finance projects

Projects

• Various key projects and business case development
• Ad hoc

Candidate profile

This role will require some travel around the Netherlands and internationally

Knowledge and Experience Required

• Qualified accountant
• Excellent academics
• Proven track record of delivery
• Decision support and analysis experience
• Experience of planning and budgeting processes ideally in a multi-national

Skills and Attributes Required

• Strong analytical skills
• Desire to understand the business and make a wider impact
• Able to think strategically and drive the strategic planning process
• Willingness to get involved in the detail
• Positive and proactive work ethic with a “Can Do” attitude
