Our valued client is a financial service provider of international banks, trust and other high performing institutions.Our client is the premier provider of custody services for investments in offshore hedge funds.The Global Risk Manager must provide leadership and management of the day-to-day activities in risk identification, management and mitigation. The job holder must be able to lead and motivate a diverse team, analyse financial and operating data, communicate effectively with all levels of the organisation in a multi-cultural environment, develop and implement risk plans, strategies, metrics, and prepare written reports with clarity. Job description

• Develop and implement risk management policies that provide maximum protection to the Bank
• Oversee the identification and escalation of key risk issues.
• Deliver detailed assessment of emerging risks, providing solid recommendations on business decisions, processes and product changes, including new products
• Incorporate risk management framework in each office within the Banking Division, including the business continuity management framework
• Implement, measure and report on operational risk management policies and procedures
• Provide leadership to foster and promote a strong risk-awareness culture within the Bank
• develop tools for internal communication to ensure adherence to all external statutory & regulatory requirements
• Review and sign-off documents, contracts, and proposals for risk analysis and communicate results in a timely manner
• Actively promote the development of the risk management function, delivering the highest standards
• Actively lead risk management projects to enhance the Bank's risk assessment and monitoring
• Build internal and external partnerships with Operations, Legal, Finance, Human Resources, Relationship Management, Compliance, Consultants and Clients

Who we are looking for

• Strong academic records preferably in finance and / or economics
• Minimum of six years experience in managing operational risk in a financial services institution;
• Experience in working with operational risk at the strategic level
• Third level business/finance qualification or experience to substitute
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and oral/written communication skills
• Strong and innovative approach to problem solving and finding solutions
• Flexible and proactive/self-motivated working style
• Excellent communication skills in English
