Customs Support has 45 offices in 11 European countries as well as a network of partners in other European countries. Due to the many locations and the partner network, Customs Support is in close proximity to customers, logistics hubs and customs offices, which ensures long-term relationships and local insights for its many international customers.

Customs Support Group is a fast growing and dynamic data driven company. In addition to strong organic growth, Customs Support Group is PE owned and was able to successfully acquire and integrate more than 25 add-ons. Furthermore, the company is investing in digitizing customs-related processes for its customers, in an industry that is facing a substantial increase in demand given the Brexit.

The position

We are searching for a Group Business Controller who is interested to operate in a dynamic and fast paced environment. As Group Business controller, you will have a broad role combining management reporting, business control and performance measurement. You will be assigned to regions and pro-actively support the country finance director with the post-merger integration processes.

Working in a changing environment with full of challenges, you will have an active role in bringing the company to a next level by process improvements and providing the business with strong analysis.
Furthermore, the group finance team is responsible for consolidation, reporting, analysis, cash management, Tax, KPI’s monitoring, budget and forecasting process and post-merger implementation processes. 

The Group Business Controller reports to the Group Finance Director and will be located in Rotterdam (HQ).
 
Tasks & Responsibilities

• Improvement and development of the management reports at group level;
• Manage the financial reports for the countries, including strategic analysis, budgeting process, forecasting and the relevant KPI’s;
• Responsible for monthly, quarterly and yearly close process and the planning and coordination of the yearly budgeting process for the region;
• Provide management information to the country directors and supporting the country directors in performance management;
• Improve the internal control framework and internal controls in the regions; 
• Improvement of the cash flow forecasting, implement the group bank policy in the countries, optimization of the cash position;
• Improve the financial risk processes, implement group policies in the countries and guide the credit management departments on country level; 
• Pro-actively advise and support the Board by interpreting the important figures: performances, trends, benchmarks and ratio’s;
• Actively involvement in projects to optimise the processes and post-merger integration.

Candidate profile

• At least a Master degree in Finance (RC or RA is preferred);
• Working experience in a controller position (in an international setting), or with the Big4;
• Strong knowledge of Dutch reporting standards;
• You have a strong focus on process improvement and digitalisation;
• Experienced with different financials systems, PowerBI and data management (IT savvy);
• You are able to flourish in an extreme dynamic and challenging environment;
• You are energetic, analytical, have strong communication skills and strong project management skills;
• You have strong people skills, are a team player;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Dutch. A third language is a plus.
