The position

For a rapidly growing multinational based in the northern part of the Netherlands, I am urgently looking for an experienced Interim Group Controller. This is a unique opportunity to step into a high-impact role within a dynamic, global organization.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Implement, maintain, and operate the Group project control framework based on the Group's strategy;
• Identify and proactively address risk areas within the company that do not align with the Group's strategy;
• Implement and maintain a world-class treasury and cash flow policy for the Group;
• Proactively contribute to and be involved in shaping the Group's strategy;
• Ensure effective planning and control cycles across the Group;
• Regularly provide insights to management on key issues using KPIs, benchmarking, financial trends, etc.;
• Review, control, and support designated regional offices or business units;
• Anticipate and respond to changes in legal and fiscal compliance issues;
• Collaborate with and manage external auditors, brokers, insurance companies, and bankers;
• Ensure full Group compliance with internal and external regulations.

Candidate profile

• University-level education with excellent knowledge of business and risk control frameworks;
• At least 10 years of experience in a complex, rapidly evolving multinational organization, preferably in capital goods with project control experience;
• Ability to think, act, and advise at management level, with the capacity to translate long-term visions into daily operational activities. Capable of switching seamlessly between different levels of responsibility as required by the role;
• Ability to think in terms of databases and translate business processes and their (financial) key drivers into databases and clear reports;
• Strong capability to set clear directions and priorities, and to clarify roles and responsibilities within teams;
• A proactive, structured working style with the ability to remain focused on objectives in a complex environment, combined with a get things done mentality;
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence, lead, coach, and develop others;
• Fluent in English and Dutch (both verbally and in writing);
• Willingness to travel to regional offices or business units when required.

The offer

• Approx. €100 per hour;
• Minimum commitment of 4 months.
