Furthermore, the company is investing in digitizing customs-related processes for its customers, in an industry that is facing a substantial increase in demand given the Brexit.

The position

We are looking for a Group Finance Director who is interested to operate in a dynamic and fast paced environment. In this role you are reporting to the Group CFO and will manage the team of Group Controllers (3fte).

The Group Finance Director is responsible for all group finance activities, and is required to build a high performing, data and process driven yet practical organization, focused on delivering results. Finance activities include group financial and business control, budgeting, forecasting, month end close, consolidation, reporting of results, acquisition integration and internal control. The Finance Director should be a reliable proactive advisor, business partner and support the CFO, Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and country management.  

Tasks & responsibilities

• Fosters collaboration with group finance, country leadership, CSG ELT and drives results through an (employee) engagement driven leadership style
• Drive performance through cultural change and team building
• Responsible for the processes of financial reporting, financial forecasting and budgets and overseeing the preparation and delivery of board reporting  
• Manages Financial Information systems and drives performance improvement through consolidation, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting tools
• Understand the different performance dynamics in the business and support on investor reporting and dialogue 
• Timely, accurate and relevant financial information provided to management including
• Monthly reporting & closing including insights into deviations to budget and forecast
• Annual budget preparation and presentations 
  • Monthly forecast expectations
  • Volume reporting and KPI’s
  • Value added ad-hoc analysis 
  • Price x Quantity analysis 
  • Monitor various performance related projects with management team
• Analyse financial/operational results and translate into clear and measurable actions to improve business performance 
• Develop an understanding of the cost drivers of the business and aid management in controlling
• Support the development and monitoring of financial and operational KPI’s and supplemental business management reports
• Providing proactive recommendations to the CFO on process improvement
• Support and contribute to the delivery of reporting system changes
• Maintain effective relationships with external auditors
• Ensure strong financial controls are operational throughout the region including effective segregation of duties
• Other duties as requested

Candidate profile

Knowledge & Experience

• Proven ability in developing a function and leading high-performance teams
• Demonstrated ability to drive performance through process improvements, analytics, and transformation in a face paced, dynamic environment
• Expertise in managing international teams, financial systems, internal control, business control, financial control, technical accounting, and acquisitions 
• BSc/BA in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field
• Qualified Accounting certification required 
• 15 years of experience of which several years in a Director position with increasing  responsibilities
• Must be native/ fluent in English

• Proficient in current technology platforms including, Microsoft Office, Consolidation tools, ERP 
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain business relationships with Executive-level decision-makers
• Strong business acumen
