Group Financial Controller

For completing the Finance team in Den Bosch we are urgently recruiting a talented and proactive Group Financial Controller who can ‘hit the ground’ running in a fast paced environment. Our client is a successful and dynamic Dutch manufacturer company that’s operates internationally and who is rapidly growing. They have a reputation for being a worldwide leader with appealing and recognisable innovative products. 

The position

In the role of Group Financial Controller you will have the responsibility for controllership across the Group and provide leadership to the accounting professionals in the HQ, report directly the CFO and have a close relation with the board members all located in The Netherlands. You will ensure the compliance with accounting, fiscal and business policy and will supervise the monthly accounting closing, reviews site/unit management accounting packs and prepares consolidated accounts. Next to this you will provide input into FP&A manager for closing and ad hoc analysis. 

Together with your team you will prepare statutory accounts, including consolidation and foreign subsidiaries. As a Group Financial Controller you will ensure the reconciliation between management and statutory accounts, timely deliver all tax and VAT documentation to relevant authorities.

In this position you will focus on the integration and migration of the different businesses to the HQ including system/process enhancement and will participate in the implementation of (finance) initiatives.

Furthermore you will insure the relations with external auditors, insurance brokers and tax authorities. 

Candidate profile

As a Group Financial Controller you have a university degree in Accounting, Business Administration or similar and you possess a title as Register Accountant (RA). You have completed this with a minimum of 8+ years relevant experience in accounting, tax and financial management. It is essential you have strong finance and accounting background - Technical Accounting -; thorough understanding of local GAAP, income tax regulation, VAT regulation. Preferable you have experience working with Navision and naturally you have strong Excel skills including consolidation accounting. 

As a finance professional you do have an excellent teamwork mindset; a good communicator and your social skills are well developed. Beside this you have the ability to work autonomously, to set priorities, being flexible and highly accurate and also have the ability to manage multiple tasks while adhering to strict deadlines and producing quality work which is essential. As a Group Financial Controller you demonstrate the ability to see the bigger picture / think broadly while also diving down into operational and execution details. 

Obviously as a Group Financial Controller you are a self-starter with a sense of urgency who finds a way to get the job done – high energy level, persistent, curious – a strong entrepreneurial spirit. Highly appreciated is your uncompromising personal integrity. 

You have excellent knowledge of the Dutch language and your business English is proficient (if not don’t apply because applications will not be taken into this procedure).
