To further professionalise the finance team we are now looking for a seasoned finance professional for the position of Group FP&A Manager. This role will directly report into the Group Director Finance & Accounting and is based in Hoofddorp.
Purpose
Management of a global Finance Planning & Analyses team which ensures that planning is carried out to achieve the business targets, monitors the achievement of the planned results and carries out business improvement initiatives. In addition to leading/participating in business and process improvement initiatives the Manager is primarily responsible for the preparation of the yearly Work Plan and for the monthly and quarterly reporting of performance.
Department objectives:
• Develop and implement best in class management information, business review, forecasting and budgeting processes
• Production of insightful analysis of business performance to support management decision making
• Act as financial support on significant business change and capex projects (M&A, restructuring, business process improvement)
Key Activities / Accountabilities
Main Priorities:
• Manage the business control department (4 FTE)
• Manage and continuously improve the forecasting (Latest Estimate process) and management information processes
• Analyse the Group’s actual and historical performance and produce insightful monthly management information to support decision making
• Linking management information to the key drivers (commercial, financial and external) of the Group’s business
Other Key Activities:
• Develop and Co-ordinate the annual budget process and long range planning process
• Co-ordinate periodic business review processes
• Manage investment proposal process
• Drive CFO board projects as required
• Improve performance measurement based on key performance indicators
• Analysis and support for strategic investment / divestments
• Interface with operating company management teams, executive management team and main shareholder
• Support strategic board level projects as required
• Support external reporting as required
Candidate Profile
Given the criticality of this role as well as its regional exposure to senior management of the organization a professional with multinational experience is required. The following requirements are critical:
• Solid experience in a complex multinational environment
• A seasoned business professional, effective communicator comfortable in dealing with and influencing senior decision makers, ability to present to and relate to Executive Management and Board of Directors
• University or similar education level in economics or business administration with additional experience in accounting and/or controllership (RA/RC or foreign equivalent);
• Successful track record in a finance management position in an international organisation (ideally gained within a logistics/transport company)
• (International) Project management experience is required
• Good people skills at all levels (up and downwards in the organization)
• Strong process skills to manage and improve complex processes cross functional
• Demonstrated ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
• Proven track record of business oriented analytical capability
• Demonstrable understanding of business processes and management information
• Drive for results
• Overall view and concern for accuracy and details
• Flexible, self confident, self motivated personality
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Willingness to travel internationally.
