Group Treasurer

The organisation

Our client is an industrial company with a multi billion € revenue stream, a number of international subsidiaries and a strong position in commodity markets. Keywords to describe it's culture are: down-to-earth, professional, ambitious and loyal.

The position

The Group Treasurer reports to the CFO and works in a two man team. This means he has a broad responsibility that includes strategical and operational issues and being the back-up of the Treasury Manager. The emphasis will be on:

• Financing: Our client has a strong financial position and recently renewed it's RCF. It is to be expected that new facilities will be necessary. The Group Treasurer will be in the lead in possible private placements or will find alternative solutions;
• Risk: The regular FX/IR risk, but also extensive and increased hedging of commodity risk. Our client is strengthening its ties with its subsidiaries. Part of this is a centralized insurance strategy for which the Group Treasurer is responsible;
• Treasury Control: It is the ambition of the CFO to create better control in treasury and risk. The Group Treasurer will be responsible for strengthening the ties with his colleagues of accounting and control. Furthermore he will create a "treasury dashboard".

Candidate profile

The ideal Group Treasurer has a relevant academic degree and a strong track record in corporate treasury. Based upon his tasks he should know about financing, risk (preferably in commodities) and reporting. Based upon the ambitions of our client, he should be able to make a connection with his colleagues within the subsidiaries and at HQ level. Speaking Dutch would be an asset, but is not mandatory.

Remuneration

Our client offers an appropriate base salary and excellent fringe benefits, including a bonus and a company car.
