For a global leading Commercial Bank in Amsterdam, we are looking for a Head of Reporting, Projects & Policies. In this role you lead the team responsible for Statutory Reporting, Accounting Policies and Finance Projects.
The position
Key Activities:
- Lead the team responsible for annual report, accounting policies and projects
- Coordinate IFRS Accounting Policy update and improvement
- Coordinate projects in the finance domain over departments
- Assess new product requests and coordinate finance requirements
- Support in ad-hoc queries (such as assessment of product sales, new product, auditor queries etc.)
- Responsible for the statutory annual report based on IFRS
- Provide insights in relevant IFRS developments internally
- Provide insight in status and (finance) requirements of projects
- Act as internal advisor and coach on IFRS accounting requirements and queries
- Pro-actively challenge on improvements in finance processes and reports
- Review periodic financial and regulatory (COREP/FINREP) reports and challenge developments and accuracy of information.
- Hands-on approach and practical contribution to changes, improvements and automation.
- Coordinate the audit of the annual report, explain (IFRS) views to the external auditor, involve respective departments (risk, communications, corporate secretary) and manage the process for quality and timely completion of the statutory annual report.
Candidate profile
Knowledge and experience:
- Work & Thinking level: Master or Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics
- Experience: A minimum of 8 years in a relevant role and industry
The offer
- Gross salary based on experience and consistent with the market
- 8% holiday allowance and 13th month payment
- 29 vacation days per year. Optional you can buy 15 additional days
- Commuting allowance based on public transport 2nd class with a maximum of 50 kilometers
