International Finance Director

The organisation

Our client is an international professional services organisation with facilities on every continent.  The expertise of the staff, the long track record and the high-tech infrastructure are the basis for market leadership of the company. Our client has several divisions, each serving a very specific niche market. The division for which we are currently searching a new International Finance Director has approximately 2000 employees.

The position

Our client has an international shared service centre for accounting purposes, this centre is not based in The Netherlands. The division we are searching for has 5 branches, each with an own financial analyst, focussing on control issues. The finance team so consists of 6 members and is managed by the International Finance Director who is part of the division Management Team. The International Finance Director reports to the divisional VP and has a dotted line to the CFO, who is not based in the Netherlands.

The International Finance Director is responsible for the review of the consolidated information, regular analysis of the business performance and the preparation of various reports. He has a (financial) role in strategic issues and takes the lead in the forecasting and budgetting process. He is involved in M&A activities and supports the sales team. The Director has to manage his team from distance and is expected to travell approximately 25% of his time.

Candidate profile

The ideal candidate for this position has at least 10 years relevant experience and a B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in finance or accounting. He should have knowledge about VAT, Income Tax and international accounting principals. He has worked in an international company, preferably with an anglo saxon mentality, is aware of cultural differences and knows how to act upon them. The candidate has managed a team of professionals with different cultural backgrounds. Our client works with oracle and hyperion.

The offer

The annual income for this position will be approximately €100.000 plus benefits and a company car.
