The organisation
For a one of the largest banks of the world, Robert Walters is currently searching for a Lead ESG Reporting and CSRD Implementation. The office is located in Amsterdam and you will be part of a growing and international environment.
The position
You will join a dynamic Financial & Sustainability Reporting team. You will analyse, implement, and improve ESG reporting, ensuring compliance with regulations and own the annual reporting process. Working cross-functionally with a diverse set of stakeholders, you'll focus on the implementation of the CSRD implementation project and collaborate with various functions.
Tasks & responsibilities
We are looking for a motivated professional with a strong background in financial & sustainability reporting:
- Ownership of ESG reporting in the Annual Report: You will own / support the overall disclosures in the Annual Report in relation to sustainability reporting ensuring that they are compliant with relevant standards and regulations (IFRS, CSRD, ISSB, EU Taxonomy and others that will arise in the future).
- CSRD Implementation project:
- As part of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) implementation project team, you will lead / support the preparation of the future CSRD disclosures in the annual report including alignment with the auditors.
- Given that CSRD is an entirely new regulatory framework for which market practice and additional guidance are still being developed,
- Your expertise in financial reporting will be essential as you act as a "coach" and collaborate with various stakeholders including front office, risk and back office functions, aligning on materiality assessments, defining reporting processes, identifying CSRD reporting requirements and holding the pen on key deliverables.
- EU Taxonomy Reporting: You will lead / support EU Taxonomy reporting as part of the annual report and develop yourself into a subject matter expert in EU Taxonomy.
- Sustainability reporting Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring our reporting practices adhere to current and upcoming ESG standards and regulations will be an essential part of your responsibilities.
- Data-Driven Reporting: You will identify reporting and data requirements pertinent to ESG reporting, fostering a more data-driven approach to enhance the quality and impact of our disclosures.
Candidate profile
Knowledge & skills:
- Over 5-10 years of experience in financial or sustainability reporting, extensive knowledge in external reporting and compliance and a passion for ESG reporting.
- Experience in working in an international environment and a matrix organization
- Masters or Bachelor degree in Accounting, Sustainable Finance or Economics
- Certified auditor and/or CFA (optional)
- Experience with interpretation of EU regulatory developments and preferably have experience with ESG (reporting)
- Collaborate and Build Partnerships
- Communicate Effectively and Professionally
- Affinity to reporting analytics and being enthusiastic about data driven reporting.
The offer
- Gross salary based on experience and consistent with the market
- 8% holiday allowance and 13th month payment.
- 30 vacation days per year. Optional you can buy 15 additional days.
- Commuting allowance based on annual public transport 2nd class, most economical way, or € 0,21 per km with a max of 75km one way.
- €5,00 net remote working compensation per day, with a maximum of €60,00 per month.
