Manager Financial Control EMEA

The organisation

For our client (US listed company in retail/ production) we are looking for an enthusiastic Manager Financial Control for their European Headquarters.

The position

You will be responsible for accounting and reporting for all Europe's legal entities, maintaining US GAAP and local GAAP ledger. You are the linking pin between HQ (USA), Asia and Europe and able to present yearly/ quarterly results to the board.  

Tasks and responsibilities

• Lead the EMEA accounting team (total 4 employees)
• Direct the accounting and reporting activities of the European Accounting team, ensuring accurate financial reporting and responsive accounting services for the EMEA FP&A and business teams
• Lead the monthly and quarterly financial close in EMEA
• Assist other Finance teams and Business leadership identify opportunities for improvement and implement solutions
• Act as sparring partner for the FP&A group 
• Work closely with the global shared service organization to ensure processes are aligned
• Work closely with external auditors to ensure an efficient, cost-effective audit

Candidate profile

• 8-10  years progressive accounting and management experience, preferably in an international US listed (manufacturing and distribution) environment
• Experience in leading and developing a team 
• Proficient planning/organizational/management skills
• Strategic thinking and leadership skills are a must
• Solid ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing 
• Fluent in English
• Proven ability to meet deadlines with minimal supervision in a highly dynamic environment
• Excellent management skills
• Knowledge of USGAAP
• SAP/BPC and BI knowledge preferred
• Degree in Accounting or Finance (RA/CPA preferred)
