The position

In the role of Manager Financial Control, you'll be at the financial helm of our Benelux, UK, Ireland, and Nordics operations, contributing to a brand that's transforming everyday routines into meaningful rituals.

As Manager Financial Control for Northern Europe at Rituals, you will lead a team of four Financial Controllers, focusing on enhancing financial processes and supporting the team's development for their growth. Your role involves hands-on management of month-end and year-end closings, coupled with a strategic approach to process optimization. You'll be responsible for critically analysing operational procedures, ensuring efficiency and compliance, and developing scalable financial solutions. This position offers a clear path for growth, with opportunities to take on additional projects and responsibilities that contribute to Rituals' future expansion plans.

Tasks & responsibilities

Key responsibilities are:

• Manage the entire accounting (month-end / statutory financial statements), compliance (VAT / CIT) and other finance-related issues;
• Find pragmatic solutions when supporting the business;
• Work closely with the other finance teams (e.g tax, payroll, accounts payable, internal control), other head office departments like business control and business technology and the local head offices;
• Partner and advice the local head offices: working together with the country directors and business control.

Candidate profile

• BSc/MSc (Accounting/Finance);
• Min. 8 years of relevant working experience (controller, managerial experience, etc.) in an international environment;
• Strong analytical skills and passionate about building teams and creating structure;
• Strong communicator with good influencing skills;
• Skilled in building bridges and fostering international relationships;
• Good knowledge of English, Dutch is a plus;
• Proven ability to work in a complex, entrepreneurial organization.
