RA/RC (future CFO)

The organisation

For one of our clients, a multi-national, fast-growing mobility solutions provider with more than 200,000 employees worldwide, we are currently searching for a CFO-to-be for one of its technology-driven subsidiaries in the Netherlands. The local entity has 100-150 employees and has ambitious plans to further grow internationally.

The position

The CFO will be responsible for maintaining a trustful professional relationship with all stakeholders, executing the capex program and developing and professionalizing the organization. The CFO will be a full member of the Management Board.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Responsible for proper and accurate accounting of all operations and consolidation of all financial information.
• Ensure compliancy of financial processes and financial reporting with IFRS and corporate guidelines. Further develop and professionalize financial accounting, risk management and corporate governance.
• Responsible for the monthly, quarterly and year-end closing within the defined deadlines and manage all monthly and quarterly management reports.
• Ensure accurate and timely budgeting, forecasting and controlling.
• Manage the external and internal audit process.
• Prepare for Supervisory Board meetings and act as secretary to the Supervisory Board meetings.
• Contribute to and be part of the strategic development of the company.
• Be responsible for tax processes, legal matters and the outsourced IT.
• Be responsible for the justification (business case) and budget control of capital expenditures.
• Manage and coach a small finance team.

Candidate profile

• Master’s degree in Business or Finance plus an additional RA or RC degree is required
• Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in Finance gained amongst other within one of the Big Four, of which at least 3-5 years in a managerial role
• Experienced with international reporting standards (IFRS)
• Good knowledge of Financial ERP and reporting/ consolidation systems
• Experience in building business cases, creating insightful monthly reports and working with senior executives to analyze and develop profitable proposals, determine budgets and substantiate decisions
• Track record in further developing a financial organization, administrative procedures and internal controls
• Experience working for technology-driven as well as project-oriented companies
• Experienced in working in an international business environment
• Fluent in Dutch and English (written and spoken). Knowledge of other European languages is considered a plus.
