Senior Accounting Manager

The organisation 

For our client we are recruiting a strong and experienced Senior Accounting Manager. Our client is a global market and technology leader in Environmentally produced medicines. The organization is a global based company which is headquartered in Singapore and has regional business units in China, India, Mexico and The Netherlands. 

Considering the situation and the complexity we are recruiting a firm Manager who can hit the ground running! 

The position

As the Senior Accounting Manager you will responsible for the accounting & reporting process of the Netherlands B.V. 

You will manage a set of accounting activities to ensure compliance with the organization Accounting Rules, corporate policies and external audits. In this position you will supervise the accounts payable function, accounts receivable function, payroll accounting activities in close connection with our service providers, monthly closing of accounts and preparation of reports in support of the financial statements. 

Tasks & responsibilities

As a Senior Accounting Manager will report to and work closely with the Director of Accounting and others in the Global organization in analysis and reconciliation of accounts and in development and implementation of accounting policies, procedures and controls.

• Manage the monthly financial close process, reviewing journal entries, account balance reconciliations and report preparation; 
• Participate in the ongoing development/establishment of accounting policies and procedures and operational strategies including the review and implementation of process and system changes; 
• Continued focus on improving system efficiencies and business practices; 
• Interacts at all levels and with budget owners or other stakeholders to produce timely, efficient and accurate month-end close and all internal management and financial reporting through annual report; 
• Responsible for hierarchy and scalability in chart of accounts and accuracy in the general ledger and financial statements and has ultimate authority over classification and booking of all transactions; 
• Make recommendations for changes as needed and ensure that company policies and procedures are followed and establishes the proper techniques to discover and prevent fraud; 
• Leading financial administration; 
• Managing the general ledger and sub-administration, as well as related reports, such that from a certain vision of working and output in an effective manner, and fully realized or properly equipped and motivated employees.

Candidate profile

As a Senior Accounting Manager you have a Master level (preferably in the field of financial administration) and 5-10 years’ experience in a broad financial and economic function, of which 3-5 years in a managerial position. You have gained this experience within an internationally operating environment (preferable within industrial | production industry). 

You have thorough knowledge of accounting systems, IFRS, ERP systems, project and cost center administration, and reporting tools and consolidation and the knowledge of insurance and foreign currency administration. As an Accounting professional you have sufficient experience and knowledge with regard to the VAT and Corporate Tax and you have experience with accounting for several entities in a highly complex international environment.

As a Senior Accounting Manager you understand the dynamics and the complexity of an international organization where multiple stakeholders are involved. There is a preference for SAP experience. 

You are a dedicated Senior Accounting Manager with an energetic approach, confident, mature and able to build strong relationships with your stakeholders and your team. You have good communication skills; the ability to get the message through in a simple and clear way. 

As a professional you have good coaching skills and you have excellent communication skills including fluent written and spoken English (if not don’t apply because applications will not be taken into procedure).
