In their consulting team they are looking for a senior associate (5-7 years experience). He or she works directly work with senior IT managers at our BFS clients, bringing industry best advice and detailed understanding of the pertinent issues in European financial services landscape. He or she works closely with our delivery teams onsite and offsite in different locations in multiple projects. The selected candidate must be able to bring a level of thought leadership in the engagement based on experience and understanding of European financial services market space. Experience with ‘stakeholder’s management’ is a must. He or she should be able to engage at different phases for the project from conceptualization, design, to realization and acceptance. Needless to say that the ideal candidate is responsible for the overall guiding of the team and for end deliverables. He or she knows how to focus on the analysis and design of the whole project and uses his or her technical problem solving skills when necessary.

Position Requirements

The ideal candidate should speak English and at least one European language and has worked for 5 - 7 years as an analyst/consultant in information-technology service for system integrating companies servicing Banking and Financial services organizations across Europe. The candidate understands the larger context of pan-European financial services harmonization, and thereof several industry-led initiatives and regulatory requirements. Candidate should have exposure to some of the initiatives like SEPA, PSD, UCITS 4, Basel 2 / 3, Target 2, Target 2 Securities, etc. The candidate should have exposure to typical business challenges like improving business-IT alignment, implementing / improving Straight Through Processing (STP), Business Process Re-engineering and alignment, channel solutions, launching new product and services, etc.

The candidate should have hands-on experience in business consulting and technology management in cards and payments, corporate payments, cash management, and financial services at large. Experience in similar situations in financial industry, have led or part of teams that build target state operating model, business process re-engineering, IT blue print, roadmap, etc.

He or she is entrepreneurial and likes to bring the company to the big league of European IT-providers as well and has the ambition.

Prior experience in onsite-offshore models of global service delivery will be highly beneficial

Fluent in Dutch and English, other European languages is an advantage 

• Strong understanding of business processes and data requirements in financial services 
• Understanding of the retail and wholesale payments processes – ATM, POS / Card related payment, merchant acquisition and transaction processing, authorization, operational risk and frauds in payments 
• Awareness of standard software (commercially available products) in commercial lending space like FundTech GPP, Clear 2 Pay, DoveTail, ACI, etc. 
• Deep understanding of SEPA and PSD and its impacts on European Financial Services Landscape
