Senior Director Capital Management (CAPEX Investment)

The organisation

For one of our clients, a substantial multinational with more than 35.000 employees, we are currently recruiting for a Senior Director Capital Management.

The position

The Senior Director will be responsible for ensuring capital is allocated efficiently within the organization, maximizing returns. With CAPEX of multiple billions each year and ambitious growth plans, best practice capital allocation, deployment and management is of vital importance.

Working closely with senior business leaders and country CFOs, the Senior Director will define the CAPEX investment strategy in line with the group strategy. He/She will identify and prioritize investment opportunities, analyze business cases, and valuate scenario’s across multiple businesses, product groups and geographies.

The Senior Director Capital Management plays a strategic and critical role in the decision where to allocate and deploy capital given the wide array of possibilities and investment programs and ensures the optimization of the return on investment. The Senior Director leads and provides leadership to a bright, analytic team.

Candidate profile

• Progressive career path of at least 12 years, with a strong background in the area of investment - banking, strategy consulting, corporate finance - and demonstrated track record of achievement
• Proven know-how and practice in capital management and allocation
• Academic degree in econometrics, finance, business administration, mathematics or related.
• Experience in merger and acquisition is considered a plus
• Convincing leaderships skills combined with excellent presentation, negotiation and communication skills
• Persuasive sparring and business partner; able to influence without power and build rapport on all levels
• Highly motivated and able to thrive in a fast-paced, results oriented environment with high quality standards
• Strong international mind-set; experienced in working for large multinationals, living in different countries and dealing with people with different cultural backgrounds
