Senior International Strategic Controller
Purpose of the role:
To optimize efficiency/effectiviness by aligning enterprise strategy with individual, functional and divisional performance measures and established goals, initiatives and KPI’s which are linked with and reflect the desired strategic goals of the organisation.
Reports to: Chief Financial Officer
Main Accountabilities:
- Crucial role in leading the finance strategy for the company in addressing resource needs, improving business processes, driving financial leadership and strategic direction, and developing a scalable business model.
- Support the development of business cases and approach to enable process, organization and system improvements.
- Manage cross-functional relationships within the organization and ensure project deliverables continue to align with strategic objectives.
- Act as an intermediary between the Executive team, functional and line management regarding local deployment of group key initiatives.
- Designing & implementing process and/or technology based solutions to enhance and streamline end to end finance processes based on leading practices.
Provide financial and performance information, analysis, support and advice to the CFO and Executive team and manage / develop projects to support improvement initiatives with regard to subjects such as:
- Integrated Performance Management
- Performance measurement (as well financial as non-financial)
- Development of Key Performance Indicators
- Reporting and scorecards
- Finance transformation processes
- Finance organization design, shared services and outsourcing
- Finance merger integration
Key performance Indicators:
- Improvement of business / financial efficiency
- Improvement of performance and control structure
- Alignment of project deliverables with strategic objectives
- Establishment of cross-functional teamwork
Scope Indicators:
- Nr of Legal Entities
- Nr of improvement projects to manage
- Process & Control maturity of the organization
Education, knowledge and working experience:
- Degree in Financial Accounting/Controlling and Management
- 10-12 years of relevant experience gained with strategic controlling and managing projects within an international company, and preferably in a technology, logistics or industrial environment.
- Strong understanding of business and financial controlling.
- Strong Project Management Skills
- Good understanding of business operations
- Fluent in English, other European language advantageous
