The Service organization

The Service organization is responsible for dealing with the warranty issues related to blades operating at client premises. It covers the whole flow of malfunction identification, client negotiations, decisions on repair methods, decisions on repair vs replacement and project management on the actual repair. This organization is going through some changes and is in the process of further professionalizing. The service organization is also actively developing a commercial  service business and market strategy that will generate income through providing services to blade clients.

Service controller

The position is responsible for offering controlling support to the Service organization. He/she will be responsible for set-up / development of control structures. A key element will be the set-up of accounting and control related processes and procedures to ensure a sufficient level of operational and business control. This person will be a key player in the service organization and be a right hand to the Group Service Director.

Working relations:

• Report to Global Director Business Controlling
• In practice co-reporting to Group Service Director 
• All key staff in Services organization (independent of location)
• Regional CFO’s
• Plant controllers
• Group Support Function Controllers

Main tasks & responsibilities:

• Set-up best in class accounting and control related processes and procedures 
• Manage KPI's within Services (as stakeholder and shareholder), develop KPI reporting methods and tools
• Lead budget process in coordination with Director, analyze on variances against budget
• Prepare overviews of existing and potential warranty cases for the steering committees and risk reviews through coordination with several parties (and participate in these meetings)
• Prepare budget estimates for potential warranty cases
• Project control on approved warranty cases

Profile of a suitable candidate:

• University degree (Master) in Business Economics
• Preferably a Post Masters Controller education (for example Registercontroller or Registeraccountant (chartered accountant) or MBA)
• 7 - 10 years experience
• Experience in directly managing a team of 2-5 employees
• Experience in working in multinational cultural environment
• Appreciating the consequences of working in a matrix environment
• Strong in MS Excel
• Strong communication skills
• Flexible: able to deal with changing environment and activities
• Capable of convincing parties involved based on content vs hierarchy
• Strong analytical and presentation skills
• Ability to appreciate complex situations and explain in 'easy digestible' elements
• Ability to work on a distance from several key players
• Spanish language verbal and written is an advantage
• Ability to act as a team player but also able to work independently
• Project-control experience is an advantage
• International experience is required
