Tax Controller

Our client is looking for a Senior --Tax Controller-- who will be fully responsible for all aspects of tax for the bank in the NL. You have the responsibility of leading all the tax filings and reporting in both IFRS and US GAAP and driving continued improvements to the process.

The Tax Controller reports to the Group Controller and will work closely with the Banking HQ in Paris as well as Corporate Tax in the States.

Your main tasks and responsibility will be:

• Monthly close process and pre-close process
• Local tax projection and legal funding requirements
• ETR and balance sheet analysis 
• Prepare tax account reconciliations
• Perform FAS 109 reviews
• Assist Tax Ops Director in FIN 48 reporting
• Review and enhance internal tax controls: SOX 404 review
• Support Dutch tax return preparation
• Ensure AFE Compliance
• Assist with transfer pricing compliance 
• Ensure VAT compliance

The successful candidate will have:

• Minimum masters in Accounting, preferably RA/RC/CPA, qualified through big 4.
• At least 5 years of experience within Tax Accounting within an International Environment
• Experience with both US GAAP and IFRS
• Hands on, hard working, dedicated, flexible with a can do attitude. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, embraces change and can work under pressure; also critical, creative thinker and problem solver
• Fluent in English and preferably Dutch
