Our client is a listed multinational chemical and consumer goods company that operates worldwide with leading brands in technologies in three business areas: Laundry & Homes Care, Beauty Care and Adhesive technologies.
Thousands of employees contribute to the success of the company across 75 countries. The HR organization is organized in a cluster with the Head of HR BeNeLux role located in Brussels.
The position
The Head of HR BeNeLux fills in a key role and manages the HR operations in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg. She/he will receive a challenging and divers scope: from operators, engineers, supply chain specialists to marketing & sales professionals, B2B as well as B2C dynamics, multiple sites and different nationalities and cultures. The person becomes a full member of ExCom BeNeLux and key point of contact of the CEO on demand.
The HR Head BeNeLux has the opportunity to drive change by putting processes and structure in place as well as optimizing existing processes in the HR cluster in order to meet the group compliance criteria and guidelines. She/he will also improve the quality of employer branding and recruitment and will review the current concept of talent development.
The person will manage 4 HR Business Partners and one Assistant located in Belgium and the Netherlands and will report to the HR Head in France.
Candidate profile
- The ideal candidate has a Bachelor‘s or Master‘s degree in HR Management, Business or related
- A minimum of 10+ years of experience in HR Management. Experience in a leadership role is a must
- Proven experience preferably gained in the Netherlands and in Belgium and/or in an international setting
- Knowledge in Dutch and Belgian labor law and market practice is required
- Experience working with fast moving consumer goods (FMCG), the chemical/process industry or retail
- Worked in an international matrix organization with complex structures, processes and cultures
- A strong proven track record of Business Partnering, stakeholder management and leading labor relationships with trade unions
- Driven to achieve outstanding results and solution oriented
- True international mind-set, has experience with different business cultures. Ability to deal with an international environment and various challenges at the same time
- Well-developed strategic and analytical skills; ability to deal with complexity
- Strong leadership skills, people- and performance oriented
- Excellent communication skills. Ability to negotiate. Well-developed influencing skills.
- Flexible and resilient, naturally adapts to different people
- Fluency in Dutch, English and French is a must
