Job description:
The HR Director will report to the General Manager. The HR Director will be a key player in the management team of the business unit, charged with aggressive objectives for the business and its personnel. The Shared Service Center of the company exists of a small group of highly motivated, international oriented specialists and professionals in the field of Information Services, Finance, Sales, Marketing and Human Resources. He/she has no direct reports but has a dotted reporting line to HR in the plants.
Objective of the position:
Leading the human resource initiatives throughout the business unit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct and manage BU Human Resource Policies in line with the laws and regulations of the region of EMEA;
- Direct and determines training needs and employee development programs for your BU in co-operation with the EMEA Talent Development Manager;
- Direct and monitors the administration of compensation programs for all employees of your BU;
- Direct recruiting procedures to provide effective staff in all key functions with above market talent. Retain our talent;
- Translates Corporate Policies to your BU level;
- Coordinates and administers Performance Management Programs and Internal communications;
- Actively participate with Corporate Human Resources and other Business Units;
- Selects and trains human resource staffing in BU; Monitors and directs effective employee benefit programs;
- Manage effectively labor relations and employee representation bodies; Develop and promote Health and Safety Programs.
Your profile:
- Bachelor or master in Human resource management or equivalent experience required;
- Ten or more years working experience and at least three years of progressive experience with a multi-national company;
- Proven track record of strategic thinking and advanced HR concepts in a management position;
- Working experience in a matrix organisation;
- Works Council experience is a must;
- Experience with Employee Engagement;
- Experience with structured reviews in Performance Management Programs;
- Experience with development and reporting on regional training programs;
- Experience with KPI’s in recruitment management;
- Experience with retention of highly valued associates;
- Experience in International / Multinational environment;
- Experience in Fast-paced, production or commercial environment;
- Experienced with Lean Techniques;
- Fluently in English & German;
- “Can do” mentality;
- Combine strategic thinking with a hands-on mentality;
- Know how to act within the guidelines of an American organisation.
Terms of employment:
- Max. salary € 110.000;
- Bonus up to 15%;
- Company Car;
- Various other items.
