The position

You are responsible for managing complex employee relations, leading reorganisation efforts, and ensuring compliance with Dutch labour laws, including the “Wet verbetering poortwachter”. With a focus on fostering a positive work environment and mitigating legal risks, you will handle sensitive HR matters, oversee organisational changes, and ensure all practices align with our clients' cultural values and legal standards. As an integral part of their team, your initiatives and ideas will be highly valued. The HR Manager is actively seeking a reliable right-hand person to collaboratively drive this reorganisation forward. You’ll play a crucial role in shaping their future, while reporting directly to her in this operational role.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Employee Relations & Legal Compliance:
    • Manage employee relations issues such as grievances, complaints, and disciplinary actions, ensuring compliance with Dutch labour laws.
    • Address complex employee relations matters to prevent legal risks, including court or tribunal proceedings.
    • Foster strong relationships with employee representative bodies, ensuring constructive, legally compliant dialogue.
    • Work closely with legal advisors to ensure that Employee Relations professionals are equipped to handle sensitive issues in line with Dutch labour regulations.
  • Reorganisation and Change Management:
    • Lead reorganisation efforts, including workforce realignments and restructuring, to ensure minimal disruption and alignment with business goals.
    • Guide management through organisational changes, ensuring smooth transitions for employees and full legal compliance.
    • Ensure all reorganisation activities are consistent with Dutch labour laws and our clients' cultural values.

Candidate profile

  • Proven experience leading organisational change and restructuring initiatives.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to influence stakeholders and manage sensitive situations effectively in English.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with a track record of successfully handling complex employee relations and disciplinary matters.
  • Experience collaborating with legal advisors to ensure all HR practices comply with Dutch labour laws.
  • Available 32–40 hours a week.

The offer

A new challenging assignment for a period till October 2025 with a day rate with a maximum of € 960,00 including travel allowance.
