Interim Senior HR Generalist/Officer

The organisation

This concerns an assignment at an American logistics organisation where you will be responsible for the operational activities in an HR team together with a fellow HR Officer. You act as the first point of contact for 600 employees working in Europe. A very international environment with 41 nationalities in the Amsterdam office.

The position

We are looking for an experienced HR professional who is able to take a critical look at the processes and make improvements where necessary (plus minus 70% operational work - 30% process improvement).

Tasks & responsibilities

Some of your exciting responsibilities will include:

• Execute the administrative activities related to employee journey requests and changes such as new hires, job changes/promotions, terminations, organisational changes and data management;
• Enhancing Workday data projects;
• Generating employee contracts, letters, and memos;
• Update the employee records and keep all relevant systems and (third) parties up to date;
• Addressing employee enquiries and managing complex cases;
• Developing and refining processes, driving continuous improvement
• Implementing new People & Culture policies;

Candidate profile

• Workday experience
• At least 5 years' of experience as an HR generalist
• International mobility experience (including immigration policies and visa requirements)
• Living in the Netherlands

Other requirements:

• Experience in processes review and (re)design
• Can-do attitude and willingness to do administrative tasks
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work
• A proactive, results-driven, solution-oriented mindset
• Outstanding coordination and communication skills
• A passion for continuous improvement and learning
• Excellent English language skills, both written and verbal. Knowledge of the Dutch language is a plus.
• International exposure is strongly preferred

The offer

• Assignment for 3 to 6 months
• Location: Amsterdam, Zuidas (no parking options, nearby train station)
• Hours: 32 to 40 hours per week
• Hybrid policy (2-3 days per week in the office)
• Hourly rate: maximum of € 100 per hour, including travel allowance
