The position

The current CTO has built the existing product from scratch. And while he’s undoubtably one of the most knowledgable people in the company, he also knows he’s not the leader the company needs going forward. The concept has been proven and now it’s time to scale. To grow the team and define the technical roadmap for the years ahead. And to lay the foundations for Amsterdam’s next Unicorn.

Tasks & responsibilities

As CTO you will be looking ahead, while making sure nothing and no-one gets left behind. From the realization of the technical vision, to the creation of a high performing development team. Whether it’s reliability, performance, scalability or security - the buck stops with you. You manage the development teams and make sure they can deliver. Not just today, but also tomorrow and the day after.

Candidate profile

With your experience leading engineering teams In start-up environments, there’s not much more we can ask for. Although a background in Fintech would be nice. So would hands-on experience with Java and Javascript by the way, but we’re not going to ask you to code yourself. Other than that, it’s all about personality. Being able to communicate with anyone, on any level, about anything. Preferrably technology though.

The offer

Leave it to a payment provider to make sure you get paid. You’ll start with a base salary up to € 115.000 gross a year and receive excellent secondary benefits. Of course, if all goes well, you’ll also share in the profits of your success in the form of stock options.
