Group Product Manager

The position

You will join as a Group Product Manager (GPM) to navigate the intersection of product design, data, engineering, and management. Previously, my client focused on high-level positions with small teams, but now they want to streamline leadership by emphasising player-coach personas for their leaders.

Candidate profile

The ideal candidate is a Senior Product Manager with management aspirations who is comfortable mentoring several Product Managers. They should excel in guiding PMs through product management principles, emphasising cross-functional collaboration and agile methodologies. While strategic thinking is valuable, the immediate focus is operational efficiency, coaching, and day-to-day management. 

The GPM should demonstrate initiative, independence, and knowledge of data analytics. They must also be pragmatic, capable of challenging engineering solutions, and focused on driving meaningful metrics. 

Requirements

• Experience in B2C environments and government or municipal work is advantageous. 
• The role will involve a balanced approach to discovery and delivery, emphasising efficient execution. 
• Coaching and mentoring experience is highly desirable, as the organisation values managers who can develop their teams effectively.
• Willingness to be in their Amsterdam office three days per week is a must. 
• Fluency in English and an overall strong communicator is of high importance.
