De functie
 
The Procurement Director is business partner in large (out)sourcing deals and is responsible for the purchasing strategy. The Procurement Director develops and implements policies related to the procurement of goods and services to minimize commercial risks. The goal is to maximize commercial advantage through the deployment of effective sourcing strategies. The Procurement Director manages, directs and delivers the procurement aspects of large projects and bids. The role also involves managing effectively through a network of direct reports and network with peers across the organisation. The Procurement Director inspires and motivates senior managers and positively influences the procurement aspects of the deals.  
  
De eisen 

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably Master degree in Procurement/Marketing and Sales/Supply Chain Management/ Business Administration
• 10+ years of progressive experience in commercial purchasing, sourcing, accounting principles, legal and salvage programs to acquire knowledge of products, vendors, markets, procurement
• Knowledge of Contract Management, Development and management of contracts
• Knowledge of Financial Analysis
• Knowledge of procurement practices and processes, as well as supporting tools, IT-solutions and methodologies including e-sourcing
• Multiple country experience is beneficial
• Knowledge of service delivery and bidmanagement
• Understanding and experience in applying Total Cost of Ownership principles in material and services sourcing
