Solution Architect (AWS BU)

The position

A key member of a large cloud program, comprised of multiple teams working together to migrate, modernize and enhance existing applications and develop new business solutions. Participate in customer solutions in all aspects of architecture, design and development. Work with partners, business stakeholders, application owners and infrastructure architects/ engineers to design solutions using API, Microservices and AWS services.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Participate in Opportunity/Large Deals to produce architecture and high level design to respond to the client requirements.
• Demonstrate Technical Cloud Architectural knowledge
• Delivery of customer Cloud Strategies aligned with customer’s business objectives and with a focus on Cloud Migrations and App Modernization
• Design of client’s Cloud solutions with a focus on AWS
• Undertake short-term delivery engagements related to cloud architecture with a specific focus on AWS and Cloud Migrations/Modernization
• Provide leadership in migration and modernization methodologies and techniques including mass application movements into the cloud
• Implementation of AWS within in large regulated enterprise environments
• Nurture Cloud computing expertise internally and externally to drive Cloud Adoption
• Work with designers and developers in the team to guide them through the solution implementation
• Participate in performing Proof of Concept (POC) for various upcoming technologies to fit in business requirement
• Provide clarity and communicate technology solutions across different audiences including technical, managerial, business executives and/or vendors
• Collaborate with internal and external technical resources to develop overall implementation strategy and drive the solution, customization, and integration efforts.
• Contribute to driving architecture strategy to keep it aligned with the enterprise architecture.
• Establish technical standards, including SW coding standards, tools, and platforms
• Drive reuse, standards, architecture best practices, and longer term value of the architecture.
• Participate in planning and design events
• Experience in evaluating vendor products is a plus.

Candidate profile

Required skills:

• AWS Certified Solution Architect – Professional OR AWS Certified Solution Architect – Associate
• AWS based Cloud Architecture and migration skills and experience.
• Strong understanding across Cloud and infrastructure components (server, storage, network, data, and applications) to deliver end to end Cloud architectures and designs.
• Strong Experience across Applications Migration to Cloud, Cloud native Architecture, Amazon EKS, Serverless (Lambda)
• Knowledge of DevOps
• Experience of any Docker/ Kubernetes/Lambda and AWS PaaS platforms
• Knowledge of infrastructure and security standards
