The organisation

Our client provides management and financial reporting services to various Investment Funds managed by a large Investment Bank. It hereby closely works with the Investment bank and affiliates of this Investment bank in Europe, Asia and the United States. The company has a strong track record in providing management services such as accounting, legal reporting, compliance and tax structuring. The company currently has 20 employees, based in the Amsterdam office.

The legal department consists of three lawyers and two assistants. The manager of the department will act as one of the main contact persons for the European offices in London, Paris, Frankfurt and Luxemburg. The ideal candidate has managerial experience, is client-focused and has strong organizational skills. You will join a dynamic and open organization in which you will have the opportunity to further establish the department.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Manage the legal department
• Act as the main contact person within the international organisation and external financial institutions, lawyers, tax advisors
• Ensure legal compliance within the Dutch legal structures
• Implement legal structures in association with external (international) advisors
• Participate and coordinate transactions such as incorporation of entities, acquisitions, restructurings, financing, and liquidations of the entities
• Strategic advisory and follow up regarding all legal matters

Profile of the suitable candidate

• Academic Dutch Law degree, preferably in civil law
• At least eight years of working experience, preferably gained in a trust company, international organisation or a law firm
• Proven knowledge of and experience in Dutch Corporate Law
• Managerial experience
• Commercial, hands-on and flexible
• Organisational skills and attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English, written and verbal
