Senior Corporate Counsel

The organisation:
Our client is a key player in the chemical industry with a global network of companies. The organisation is a US based company incorporated under Dutch law.

Yess wishes to attract a

Senior Corporate Counsel, a seasoned and well balanced professional in corporate law who is able to operate and be convincing at the highest level in the organisation.

The position:
The Senior Corporate Counsel has a focus on the corporate structure of the respective companies in a selected international region. On top of that, he or she (this will not be repeated) will focus on the various finance areas (Controllers, Treasury and Tax) and the strategic transactions that the organisation is involved in. The Corporate Counsel will have direct contacts with the Controllers organisation in the US as well as the US based lawyers who deal with the same kind of matters in the US.

Key requirements:
Candidates for the position of Senior Corporate Counsel should have a minimum of eight to twelve years experience in the field of Corporate Law. On top of that, he should also have experience in areas like M&A, Tax, Treasury, Compliance and Corporate Governance. He should be able to operate and influence in an international matrix structure with an Anglo-Saxon company culture. Most likely, the candidate is a Dutch national with significant international experience. Specific experience in the chemical industry is not a necessity. He must be prepared to travel up to 30% of his time.
