The organisation
Our client is a leading European producer in the food industry. The company supplies approximately 280 customers and distributes in 39 countries through all the top European retailers, among them supermarkets, like Albert Heijn, Aldi, Jumbo, Tesco, Rewe, Lidl, Delhaize, etc. It has 8 facilities in 4 countries and about 1,500 employees and reports sales of 265 million EUR. By 2013 a successful business transformation positioned the company for continues and sustainable growth.
Two of the production facilities are located in the Netherlands. The Dutch operation has a revenue of EUR 90 mln and supplies customers throughout Western-Europe, Benelux, France, Germany, UK, and Scandinavia. In the last couple of years, the organisation has obtained a strong presence in Western Europe and is looking for an enthusiastic Supply Chain Manager that will facilitate the growth by managing the Supply Chain of the Dutch operation. He will report directly to the General Manager.
The position
The company is currently looking for a Country Supply Chain Manager to lead the Dutch Supply Chain, who will report directly to the General Manager and will be part of the country management team.
Main purpose of the position:
- Ensure high level of customer service, logistics and overall Supply Chain function by managing and coordinating demand and supply planning within the Dutch company;
- Create communication link between sales and supply, represent the country supply chain on central forums and be the primary contact for supply and sales in planning related issues on country level.
- Ensure data and information flow between sales, supply and central forums through systems;
- Permanent member of the country management team and contributes to the country strategy as well as to the European Supply Chain strategy.
Candidate profile
The ideal candidate for this position will be a strong business minded professional with experience in working in a fast-paced environment. In short:
- University degree, preferably in Supply Chain/ Logistics/Business Economics
- At least 10 years of experience in Logistics and Customer Service background, preferably in FMCG
- Supply chain background in a manufacturing company is considered an asset
- Experience in stock planning, stock building, scenario planning
- Convincing Leadership Skills
- Result and action oriented
- Customer focus
- Planning agility
- Proven line management and influencing skills
- Proven analytics and strong system and data skills
- Fluent English
