The position

In this role, you have the opportunity to define business opportunities based on customer insights and translate them into winning value propositions in the area of medical devices. You will own product portfolio, road-maps and define commercial specifications for the purchased products, being co-responsible for the proper introduction of these products in the market. 

Tasks & responsibilities

You are responsible for upstream activities including definition of the strategy and its enablers as well as its alignment with key markets globally, the definition and implementation of global commodity strategy and sourcing plans with 1–3 year sight line. You make a value proposition development based on customer insights. You design a channel strategy for assigned product portfolio. Leading the supplier sourcing process for the global suppliers in the assigned scope and Leading business review meetings and supplier evaluations for the assigned scope

Concerning the Customer and Market Insights: You analyse the market, the competition, and trends in medical devices and accessories to ensure the portfolio is addressing the market’s needs and expectations. You develop and maintain a needs-based customer segmentation requirements across global markets.

Translating in-depth market and customer insights, as well as competitive analyses into winning concepts/ clear product propositions for commercial release, in such a way that in short, mid and long term a sound business result can be achieved. 
In this position you will be interacting with various disciplines including business units, quality & regulatory, procurement, external suppliers, supply chain, finance, marketing management, marketing communication and international sales organisations.

You are a part of the global commodity team for tradeproducts and services. These products and services are sold through to care providers together with our clients systems. The commodity team consists of 13 specialised commodity leaders that work closely together with business units and commercial organisations to manage the sourcing process and drive savings. 

Candidate profile

To succeed in this role, you should have an academic background; Master Degree preferred, at least 5 years of experience in the Purchasing/Procurement field and commodity management on regional or global scale. You have experience with Value Proposition Creation, Pricing, Creating Business Case, Driving Channel Strategies and G2M (go-to-market), Portfolio management and you have Project management skills.
