The position

In order to further develop the S&OP process and take the Supply Chain Department and performance to the next level Objeqtive Recruitment is currently recruiting for the position of Sales & Operations Planning Manager.

In this challenging position you will be responsible for leading the Supply Chain Planning Team (13 FTE) and developing and managing the S&OP process in the region. You will report to the Director Operations & Planning, together with the Manager Logistics EU. You will be delivering insights on strategic challenges and will act on tactical level within the EU-organization.

As S&OP Manager you will be collaborating with a large variety of colleagues in Marketing, Commerce, Product Development, Finance, Purchasing and Operations in order to reach the overall goal: ensuring a well established S&OP process which gives insight on the long and mid-term market needs and enables Shimano to make the right (financial / operational) decisions to meet customer demand.

Tasks & responsibilities

In this role you will focus on:

• Sales & Operational Planning (S&OP): you will be the architect, builder and manager of a solid and embedded S&OP-process within Shimano. You’ll be inspiring stakeholders, keep track of the KPI’s ( OTIF – Forecast Accuracy – OTD ) and be proudly sharing them;
• People Management: as Supply Chain Manager you will support and develop the SC Planning Team, divided into the categories Biking (10 FTE) and Fishing (3FTE) and focussing on lowest cost (stock-levels – inbound logistics) vs. the right availability.
