The position
The Senior Manager Demand and Supply Planning Europe is responsible for all planning activities to ensure on time and in full delivery of the products at optimum manufacturing orders and stock levels. You will supervise and lead Demand Planners, Supply Planners and Planning Analysts; 8 people in total.
In this position you report to the Senior Director Supply Chain & Sales Operations.
Tasks & responsibilities
Monthly Forecast /Direct to Consumer Buy Plans/EU Aggregate Purchase Plans:
- Guide translation of Sales and the Finance forecasts into product supply plans for upcoming seasons and generate a net requirement for manufacturing capacity. Formulate plans for new introductions
European Supply and Inventory Strategy:
- Align global and European planning methodologies
- Manage seasonal build ups and cut down on styles to inventory goals
- Align to European Sales and Supply Chain goals
(Purchase) Order Management:
- Translate customer orders and forecasted at-once into purchase orders
- Keep track of the order status and factory status of planned items to ensure on time deliveries
- Report status to internal customers and summarize revenue risk for senior team
Internal Processes:
- Track outstanding stock and planning issues with other departments
- Analyze the department processes and forecast/planning techniques
- Keep track of supply chain adjustments in between forecast review periods
- Report recommendations to management and implement improvements to serve the business’s need
Inbound and Outbound Shipments:
- Advise the Warehouse and logistic departments to ensure on time deliveries and set priorities
- Lead forecasting of distribution loading
Management Support:
- Maintain overviews of order and stock information and distribute this among all relevant parties as a part of S&OP
- Signal differences between the forecasts plus actual factory output and warehouse inventory
- Draw up report with recommendations to facilitate management decisions
Team Development
- Manage planning teams’ performances
- Work aggressively to understand roles and clarify priorities and accountability
- Signal discrepancy between department goals and individual goals
- Coach and lead by example to take the teams to the next level
Candidate profile
- 10-20 years experience in seasonal, fashion or footwear brands
- (Technical) knowledge of Supply Chain and specifically Planning on master level
- Cross-channel management experience is a big plus (wholesale, retail and internet sales)
- Knowledge of SAP or other ERP platforms and specific seasonal planning applications or initiatives (SAP is now being implemented)
- Ability to think strategically, gather and synthesize large amount of data and information, think objectively, and present facts and recommendations to senior executives. Knows how to prioritize
- Ability to coordinate internal and external resources to advance business objectives
- Relevant experience within an international environment
- Goal getter, doesn’t take “no” for an answer, leader, charismatic. Pragmatic.
- No 9-to-5 mentality
- Ability to travel as needed (global meetings)
Terms & conditions
The salary indication for this position is € 110.000 per year, with usual benefits. A maximum bonus of 10% (on an annual base) and a company car will be part of the total package.
