Bauxite Production Manager Griechenland (m/w)

Job Purpose

Reporting to the Bauxite Operations Manager, the position plays a key role within the operation by managing the production process in Greece to meet production targets safely, efficiently and sustainably.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage bauxite production to ensure the execution of the annual production plan consistent to sales requirements in terms of volumes and quality in the most cost-effective way.
• Monitor and coordinate the activities undertaken by subcontractors within the framework of company agreements for the production of bauxite.
• Monitor production costs and adjust processes and resources to improve productivity and reduce costs.
• Manages, motivates and develops subordinates in order to unleash their potential and ensure maximum performance
• Recommends capital investments such as equipment and property purchase, improvements in the bauxite production process to ensure the most efficient and effective execution of the production plan in the short and the long term.
• Develop the bauxite annual production plan taking into account labour and material input requirements to meet output quantity, quality and timing specifications.
• Ensure conduct of maintenance programs in cooperation with Engineering and Maintenance for effective and economical operations that meet production deadlines.
• Coordinate land rehabilitation activities to minimize the company’s footprint on the environment ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and company policies.
• Prepare and submit in cooperation with the Planning Department the annual budget and business plan.
• Assures compliance of all operations activities with company policies and statutory regulations focusing on H&S and environmental issues.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering, preferably at post-graduate level
• At least 10 years relevant working experience, especially in bauxite underground mining
• Fluency in English
• At least working knowledge of the Greek language will be considered an asset
