Our client is a subsystem IP provider in the semiconductor industry. The company is a subsystem IP provider in the semiconductor industry. It is a start-up that develops solutions for application in the professional markets.

The position

The CEO reports into the shareholders and is responsible for business development and managing the required capabilities of the organisation.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the overall strategy for the organisation 
• Manage all stakeholder relations, especially Partner relations
• Translate the technological know-how of the company into commercial applications in the market;
• Identify key applications and position the company accordingly
• Ensure that market interests and needs (within relevant scope) are addressed by academic research
• Build and grow the business while ensuring value creation and profitability
• Build the organisation and manage the required capabilities 
• Overall management of the organisation
• Plan for an eventual exit to take place in 3 to 4 years

Candidate profile

For the position of CEO, we are searching for an experienced General Manager and business leader with preferably experience in the international fab-less semiconductor industry for the professional market. The candidate will have a proven track record in building successful businesses. He/She is a people manager with experience building strong teams and developing capabilities.

• University (technical / engineering) degree, followed by an MBA preferred 
• Experience in developing and implementing business (commercial) strategies
• Experience in managing stakeholder relations
• Ability to implement systems and processes to bring structure to the company
• Strong leadership; Track record in recruiting and developing good people
• Good negotiation and presentation skills
• Strong networking and interpersonal skills
• Highly motivated, objective driven and pragmatic; Ability to thrive under pressure and changing circumstances
