The position

The Chief Executive Officer will take the lead in scaling of the organization to the next level. Together with the other members of the leadership team, he/she is responsible for pro-actively managing the organization, ensuring that performance matches client and market requirements and the annual business plans. Further development of the strategic plan and from that perspective focus and execution power.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Realization of the organizational goals for both the short and long term, in order to guarantee the continuity and growth of the organization;
• Responsible for the performance and overall management of the company;
• Build and maintain a relevant network within the payments industry and other external stakeholders;
• Prepare and propose annual budget and 3 years mid-term plan;
• Roll-out of the phased strategy regarding internationalization;
• From a statutory perspective responsible for IT & Sales;
• Building teams; inspire and empower employees and improve co-operation;

The Chief Executive Officer is statutory director and leads the Management Team, consisting of the CEO and 4 other members (CFO, CRO, CTO and CCO).
He/she reports to the Supervisory Board.

Candidate profile

For this unique, strategic senior management position, the organisation is searching for an ambitious leader with a clear vision. The ideal candidate is energetic, innovative, result driven and has a strong sense for business opportunities. On the other hand, he/she is well aware of the sensitivity and integrity that is required to work in a by DNB regulated environment. The CEO is accessible and pragmatic, which suits the size and culture of this midsize organization. He/she has an authentic personality, is a people manager and has the right coaching skills to motivate people and to inspire them to perform to the best of their ability. The CEO creates a basis of safety, respect and trust.

Requirements:

• University-level education;
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a general management position with overall responsibility, preferably as CEO;
• Experience in the payments industry or related to that, and/or strong payments expertise;
• Has been part of successful commercial development;
• M&A experience is strongly preferred;
• Ability to perform an international roll-out;
• Preferably experience in working with private equity;
• Experience with working in a regulated environment is essential;
• Sensitivity for intercultural dynamics;
• Native in Dutch and fluent in English.
