The company is is a leading pooling service company of made-to measure modular pooling concepts with global services. The company has a strong experience in packaging supply chain management.

Functieomschrijving:

The Chief Operations Officer is a key member of the company’s Management Team and reports directly to the CEO. In close coordination with his fellow MT colleagues responsible for Commercial and Finance the COO is responsible for ensuring the proper resources to manage the service levels required in specific contracts as well as ensuring an international footprint that enables growth and flexibility without compromising on quality. Knowledge of Lean principles is a must.
The position is responsible for structuring and setting up project teams, packaging engineering, procurement and the Systems Management and training departments. Also in- or outsourced disciplines such as design will fall under this position.
The candidate will also be expected to contribute to the strategic and tactical programs to ensure the long-term performance of Operations.

The job objective of the Chief Operations Officer is:

• To maintain, further develop, streamline and optimize the core asset of the company, being the IT system that runs the business.
• To lead the engineering of new packaging concepts.
• To manage the project for transitions of large, complex, multinational accounts with a wide variety of suppliers from one way packaging to pooling services.
• To procure services and goods of the right quality for the right price from reliable partners.
• To be a coaching and demanding leader of the operations team. To further have them develop their skills and qualities.
• To develop, maintain and communicate KPI’s by which the team can be managed.
• To help the management team become a focused, loyal and supporting team by being a constructive and supporting player in the team in which every team member will always do more than his/her own functional responsibility.
• To realize a comprehensive Hub infrastructure to support the pool cleaning, repairs and storage services in line with contracts, legislation and regulations.

Functie-eisen:

• Outstanding background in international Supply Chain / Logistics
• At least 8 years international experience in a comparable position
• Successful track record in supporting and helping develop supply chain related services
• Fluent in English, preferably combined with other languages
• Excellent People management skills
• Customer focus
