With eight product development and manufacturing plants spread across Europe and North America, the organisation is able to reach the global pharmaceutical market.  
  
De functie
 
The COO reports directly to the Managing Director Contract Manufacturing Services.
Operating location will be in Belgium, near Bruxelles. The COO is responsible for seven production locations in Europe and the US. Will lead the operational activities of CMS, achieving the operational goals and objectives. Reviews and develops the strategy of CMS. Is financially responsible for the CMS P&L, achieving/exceeding financial targets. Provides leadership and coaching while also reviewing the current talent pool. Manages operational projects on different plants in order to ultimately meet customer’s expectations. Furthermore makes sure that regulatory and quality requirements are met. Meets the business and financial targets and/or identifies possible gaps and proposes solutions.
  
De eisen 

• Dynamic individual with relevant operational, commercial and financial experience (10 years).
• Education in pharmacy or chemistry; or economical background;
• Significant experience in contract manufacturing or pharmaceutical industry;
• Experience in sterile production;
• Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry;
• Demonstrable skills in business management and the establishment of business processes.
• Result driven and an effective solution provider, with sound analytical and organisational abilities.
• Hands-on mentality and creative problem-solver.
• Good team player with strong leadership skills.
• Fluency in English. Any other European language is highly desirable; ideally French and/or German. 

De arbeidsvoorwaarden 

€ 180.000 plus bonus
