Position Summary
The purpose of the job is to take ownership for the development and success of the buying and merchandising strategy, which will deliver revenue and margin targets in line with overall strategic objectives. The jobholder will be responsible for the total commercial division of approximately 180 staff with a very large budget. Review mix of own label versus national and international fashion brands, ensuring an optimum selection which will deliver a compelling and competitive product offering. Reports to: CEO.

Profile
Demonstrable track record of achievement in leading the buying and merchandising function within a multi site retail environment. Extensive exposure to fashion and hardgoods markets preferred, with particular emphasis on womenswear.
 
Qualifications
University degree.
 
Personal Characteristics
Charismatic top retailer with the ability to attract, build and motivate strong teams across a broad range of product categories, strategic thinker with commercial orientation and strong numerical skills.
