COO (e-learning)

The organisation

For a successful mobile learning and advertising company (under Dutch management) headquartered in Dubai, we are looking for a COO (only for European Citizen). 

As a global player in mobile learning and entertainment services, our client is looking for a COO, that will lead and manage a team of 40-50 smart professionals in Dubai.

Due to the strong growth, the company is looking for expansion of its top-management. The new COO will focus on managing the team and projects (whereas the focus of the CEO will be more externally driven). The CEO and COO will team up and work closely together in a team with shared responsibilities.

The company consist of the following teams :

• Technology
• Marketing
• Business Development
• Product Development
• Advertising networks
• Campaign optimization
• Creative (designers, copywriters)
• Tech team (programmers. developers)

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the people management, coaching and development of the whole team, managing projects within a focus on result within set deadlines and budget.

This position requires occasional travelling. You will report to the supervisory board.

Candidate profile

• You will have about 20 years of experience, of which at least 4 years as a COO
• Background in IT / (online)media / telecom / internet. Used to manage teams of developers, designers
• You have worked at a big multinational IT or consulting firm, used to managing IT and development projects
• Maybe you have set up an own internet/IT business: only proven success stories will be taken into consideration
• Experienced in leading operations
• Tough leader and strict manager: Will keep people to set deadlines and agreements made.
• You are willing to move to Dubai

Position based in Dubai. Best city to work in, according to Insead alumni  Amazing office location in Media City. The company is known to offer excellent (tax-free) renumeration, highest in the market. Very good salary plus bonus plus stock option plan.
