Our client is a global leader in industrial packaging products and services. They produce steel, plastic and fibre drums, intermediate bulk and reconditioned containers, coated recycled paperboard, tubes and cores and a diverse mix of specialty products. They also manufacture packaging accessories and provide filling, packaging and other services for a wide range of industries. The company has over 220 operating locations in 37 countries, to serve their global and regional customers. For the region EMEA & APAC with over 70 locations, we are searching for a Customer Quality Manager.

The position

In this new role as Customer Quality manager you ensure to respond to customers and stay compliant with legal, customer and internal requirements. You anticipate future trends within customers quality requirements and proactively identify where the organization should focus to minimize risks and maximize impact. This will encompass all activities surrounding customer, audits, complaints, product statements and packaging advice.

You will serve as primary contact for customer compliance topics related to quality, key account managers as well as key account customers for quality matters. You will in close collaboration with the sales organization develop the key processes needed to support customers in the best way. You report to the Global Director EHS, Quality & Compliance and are part of the EHSQ team.

Tasks & responsibilities

Your main responsibilities:

  • Maintain global procedures and support the organization with implementation packages for the key processes related to customer quality
  • Oversee customer audits
  • Validate data & create monthly reports for customer quality
  • Drive root cause analysis of customer complaints & ensure learnings are applied
  • Monitor trends and initiate corrective action program to get back on track
  • Contribute to & deploy global quality roadmaps
  • Participate in regular meetings & working groups with key accounts manager as well as key account customers
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Candidate profile

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Solid experience in dealing with customer complaints and in systematic Problem solving (RCA)
  • You are a strategic thinker and experienced in communicating on high level
  • Experience with quality management systems (ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001) and General auditing skills
  • Experience with Continuous improvement techniques
  • Pro-active, self driven and hands-on
  • Fluent English speaker
  • Able to travel is an essential requirement
